Frequently Asked Questions

Currently our processing time is 7-14 business days. We are a two man team with full time jobs. This business is something we are passion about and want to see grow. We ask for your patience as we juggle our time to make your images look amazing as the day you shot them.
-
Currently we offer 3 locations to drop off your film:
A mini fridge in Park Forest
Chew Chew Bun (downtown State College)
Shaky Hands (downtown Bellefonte)

We are local and passionate about film photography in State College. We want to see more people learning and shooting film.
Even though we are a small lab, we are constantly learning and growing.
-
You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email (info@happyvalleyfilmlab.com). We aim to respond quickly, usually within one business day.
-
We don’t have a physical location and we are primarily an online only lab service. We have a few locations for pickup/drop off in Centre County. If you are outside the area and would like to support us and want to ship your film to us please reach out via email or the contact page.
-
Not for retail. We are mainly a online only lab service.
However, we do events with Chew Chew Bun to help get our name out there. At those events we have been selling disposable cameras with development. Meaning if you buy one of the cameras at the event you get the development of your film included with purchase. Keep an eye out for our next colab with Chew Chew Bun.

Film photography is awesome and we both have our reasons on why we love film. Check out the about page to learn about us *wink wink
We think the best way to try it is to shoot a roll for yourself. Buy a disposable camera or ask your parents/grandparents/a neighbor/friend if they have a film camera you could borrow. Shoot the roll.
*Disclaimer: shooting film will not make you a better photographer then someone who shoots digital. Film is a different medium. Film is whatever you want it to be. For us its an art and it makes us slow down the world a little. At the end of the day we all have a creative eye on the world we see. Have fun and shoot film.
